Reseller settings
Server Manager → Reseller settings (/server-manager/reseller/settings) is a single page where you configure Contabo API credentials, white-label hostnames/DNS, and optional ResellerClub (your own account). It is an alternative to using Contabo Setup and DNS separately; the same data is used for creating and managing servers and for DNS.
Sections
Contabo API credentials
Same as in Contabo setup: Client ID, Client Secret, API Username (email), API Password. Required for listing, creating, and managing Cloud VPS instances.
White-label hostnames & DNS
Base domain, hostname prefix, NS1 suffix, NS2 suffix. Same concept as in DNS & ResellerClub. Example: base domain colodns.com, prefix vmi → hostname vmi0001.colodns.com, nameservers vmi0001ns1.colodns.com, vmi0001ns2.colodns.com.
ResellerClub DNS (optional)
Toggle: Use my own ResellerClub account for DNS and nameserver records. If enabled, you enter:
- ResellerClub Reseller ID
- ResellerClub API Key
- colodns.com Order ID (optional) – Leave blank to look up order ID by base domain when needed.
If you do not use your own account, the platform uses Admin ResellerClub settings for DNS (platform’s colodns.com).
Test connection
Use the Test connection button to verify your ResellerClub credentials (and optional order ID or base-domain lookup). The result is shown in the client area (e.g. alert or copyable message). If you get 403, whitelist the server’s outbound IP in ResellerClub → Settings → API; the admin ResellerClub settings page shows “Server outbound IP” for reference.
Save
Click Save reseller settings to store all fields. These settings are used for new server creation (hostname/nameservers and DNS A records) and for any action that needs Contabo or ResellerClub API access.
