Getting started
As a reseller you use the client area at clientarea.contaboreseller.com. Log in with the credentials provided by your provider. All server and DNS features are under Server Manager.
First steps
- Contabo Setup – Add your Contabo API credentials (Client ID, Client Secret, API username, API password) so the platform can create and manage Cloud VPS instances on your behalf. See Contabo setup.
- DNS (optional) – By default, new servers get hostnames and nameservers on the platform’s
colodns.comdomain. You can configure white-label hostnames and optionally use your own ResellerClub account. See DNS & ResellerClub and Reseller settings. - Create a server – From Server Manager, use Create new server to choose product, region, image, and root password. After creation, DNS A records (hostname, ns1, ns2) are created automatically when ResellerClub is configured. See Creating servers.

Admin vs reseller
Platform admins can set Admin ResellerClub settings (base domain, Reseller ID, API key, optional Order ID). Those are used when a reseller does not use their own ResellerClub account. Resellers can override with their own credentials in DNS or Reseller settings. See Admin ResellerClub settings and Reseller settings.
